message from the ceo & board
The Lindsay Park Sports Society (LPSS) Board of Governors and MNP Community & Sport Centre (MNPCSC) employees approached 2022 with a sense of excitement and enthusiasm. The first full year of operations without any health restrictions provided space to welcome back Members, sport partners and guests with a full suite of programs and services – and the team was ready!
The Society and Centre have a long-standing reputation for innovation, service, safety and excellence. In 2022, all four values were on display. A few highlights include:
-
A new name: Successfully launched a new Naming Partnership with MNP LLP;
-
Revitalized Strategic Plan: Launched our updated strategic plan that focuses on Member and sport growth, program optimization, delivering legendary experience, business and environment sustainability, and continuing to build a culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion;
-
Back to normal: Built back public and sport activity to pre-pandemic levels;
-
Developed our plan: Furthered plans to expand and enhance the Centre in partnership with the City of Calgary and the Government of Alberta;
-
Survey success: Realized extraordinary employee and member survey results; and
-
Sound financials: Concluded the year in a strong financial position.
We wish to thank our Members, sport partners, guests, stakeholders, and the City of Calgary for making 2022 a year to remember. Most importantly 2022 allowed the Centre to fully return to doing what it does best – supporting Calgarians in pursuit of physical fitness, health and wellness and athletes in pursuit of their sporting goals and dreams.
